 Student Immunizations:  New Requirements
The Kentucky Department of Public Health recently updated its regulation, 902 KAR 2:060, concerning immunization schedules for all public and private school students, and homeschooled students who participate in any public or private school activities.
A summary of changes can be reviewed at this link: Immunization Regulation Changes. Some of the changes for this school year include:
·         Homeschooled students must have a current immunization certificate on file with the school before participating in any public or private school activities.
·         Religious exemptions shall be documented on a signed and notarized copy of the new form: Commonwealth of Kentucky Parent or Guardian’s Declination on Religious Grounds to Required Immunizations form.

New Age-Specific Immunization requirement beginning on or after July 1,2018: (2018-2019 school year)
1) 2-Dose Series of Hepatitis A (Age: 12 months through 18 years)
2) Meningitis vaccine (MenACWY) booster dose (Age 16years)
