I am excited that you are exploring the class webpage! I have been teaching fourth grade for four years at Brookside. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in December 2008 with my undergrad and then completed my Master's at the University of the Cumberlands in the summer of 2012. I am married to a Nicholasville Police Officer and have a five year old daughter named Charlotte and a new sone named Holden. I love spending time with my family watching movies, playing outside, and reading books.
I LOVE teaching! When people ask me what my hobbies are I include teaching. I believe that every child needs to be pushed to their full potential and everyone's best will look different. I also believe that I CANNOT do this alone. Collaborating with other teachers and parents is very important. My hope is that parents will view the school year as a collaborative process, and by holding your student accountable will help to make the most of the school year. Parents are always welcome to come volunteer in the classroom.
I love all subjects, but especially SCIENCE! I love doing experiments, learning new information, and understanding how things work. This year I hope that we get to do many of these in the classroom!
