HEALTH FLASH: Beginning of the Year!

- The year is flying by already! Wow, almost time for the Fall Break. There is so much going, here are some of the events that we have coming up, Obstacle Course, Track Run, Elements of Dance, Jump Rope for Heart, talking about Friendship and Respect: Peer Pressure, and Soccer
- Interested in helping out in our PE after-school Fitness Clubs? We will be having multiple activities after-school throughout the year, and you can be a big part of helping our students learn fitness lifeskills. I you have a special fitness hobby (Zumba, Yoga, Disc Golf, Martial Arts, Jump Roping), or you know someone who does, and want to help out please contact me through e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Family weather emergencies and evacuation can happen at any moment. Please take the time to discuss and practice what to do in case of emergencies such as: fires, tornados, and severe storms. A great gift for the family would be an Emergency Kit, you can get one from the Red Cross http://www.redcross.org/prepare/location/home-family/get-kit , and from Ready. Gov http://www.ready.gov/build-a-kit . Both have some great information on how to prepare your family for emergencies. - Althoug Fall is now here, you may need to keep dressing to stay nice and cool by using lighter colors, wearing a hat, and sunscreen. Remember to hydrate, eat a balanced meal, and to take breaks to allow your body to recover.
