Welcome to The Providence School’s website. We hope that by visiting our site, you gain a better picture of what Providence is all about.
We are a non-traditional school for 6th – 12th grade students. Our goal is to provide students with more than a diploma; we want students to leave our school with an education which allows them to be successful in their career, as well as in their personal lives.

Open House
TPS will host its Back to School Open House on August 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm. We will be serving hot dogs and sodas. Please bring lawn chairs and join us for a fun evening.
First Day of School
The first day of school for students will August 11th.
Note: Start and end times have changed. The school day now begins at 8:25 and ends at 3:45.
Best Practice Alternative School
Providence has been designated by the Kentucky Department of Education as a "Best Practice Alternative School" and exemplary in every single category. Only six Best Practice Sites were selected statewide based upon criteria in the categories of:
- Academic Performance
- Learning Environment
- Efficiency
TPS is one of three schools in the state to receive recognition in all three categories.
