Dear Parents,
I am honored to work with your children. They bring joy to my life each school day.
I grew up in a little town of Algodones, New Mexico and moved to Kentucky in 1989. I intended to stay in Kentucky for four months while attending vocational school at the Kentucky Horse Park. The wonderful state of Kentucky spoke to my heart through green grass, horses, friendly people and my boyfriend at the time, who later became my husband, David.
After working in restaurants and the horse industry, I stayed home with my children for eight years. Once they were in school, I decided it was time to educate myself, as well. I attended Lexington Community College, which is now Bluegrass Community & Technical College then transferred to the University of Kentucky. I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, Special Education Moderate to Severe Disabilities and began working in Jessamine County December 2004. I received a Master’s in Education, Learning & Behavior Disorders, in May 2009. I also hold a certificate from the University of Kentucky in Assistive Technology.
