EJMS Jaguar Weekly Jan. 30 - Feb. 3

Hello EJMS Friends and Families - It's another busy week at EJMS. Believe it or not, Friday marks our third nine weeks' midterm! If you haven't had a chance yet, please complete our district's technology survey Project Tomorrow. You'll find information for that as well as a reminder of our electronics policy, lots of thank yous, and soccer tryout info and of course our weekly calendar in this week's edition. Hello Jaguar Families - 

Welcome to our first full week of school for 2023. We have lots of fun things going on this week and also want to hear from you in terms of communication and technology. Check out what's happening and your opportunity to share your voice with us in this week's edition of the Jaguar Weekly.

EJMS Jaguar Weekly Jan. 3 - 6 

Hello and welcome back - We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday break and stayed warm with power and water the whole time. We are so excited to start this new semester and hope you are as well. 

Those of you who have been with us for a while will notice that this is a different time and different format for the Jaguar Weekly. We hope to be back to our usual Sunday time and more accessible format in the next week or so. 

For those of you new to EJMS, welcome! We are so excited to have you with us. The EJMS Jaguar Weekly is a great way to know what's happening here as well as our Facebook account and school website. Please help us help you by letting us know what you might need in order for you and your student to find success in our EJMS community. 


EJMS Jaguar Weekly Dec. 12 - 16

Dear Parents and Families - You know things are getting back to normal when it feels as if time is flying, and this first semester has flown by. It's hard to believe we're in the last week of school for 2022. We are so proud of all of our students' hard work, especially during our recent i-Ready testing. We look forward to one more great week and then wish you and yours a wonderful winter break. Happy Holidays!

Hello Jaguar Families! ‚ÄčIt is certainly beginning to look like the holiday season all around town and all around EJMS. We are gearing up for a busy week this week with the Scholastic book fair, holiday concerts, musical auditions, basketball games and so much more. We hope you and your family have multiple reasons to spend an evening or two at EJMS the next couple of weeks. Check out some of those opportunities and invitations in this week's newsletter.

EJMS Jaguar Weekly Nov. 14 - 18

We hope that you and your family have stayed warm this cold weekend. Please let our youth services coordinator know if we can help with keeping your family warm and well this winter. It's hard to believe we only have a week and a half until Thanksgiving and then time will fly until it's winter break. We so appreciate your help in being sure that your student is able to keep up with all of their schoolwork. It's another busy week at EJMS - we've got some basketball games, makeup picture day, an 8th grade field trip and more coming up this week. 


EJMS Jaguar Weekly Nov. 9 - 11

Thanks for a great parent teacher conference day to all who were able to join us for that. We hope that it was helpful for you. The EJMS faculty had a wonderful PD day yesterday learning about co-teaching and opportunities to respond. And now, we're ready to have our students back in the building. It's a short week, but it's a busy one!

Hello and Happy Halloween or later on this week, Feliz dia de los Muertos for any our families who observe those holidays. We hope that the holiday traditions this week are safe and fun for all. It's another busy week at EJMS before a four-day weekend next week. Remember, no school for students Nov. 7 but we hope to see many of our families for Teacher/Parent conferences and then no school Nov. 8 but we encourage everyone to vote. We will have a shortened Jaguar Weekly next week which should get to your inboxes by Tuesday evening.

It's been a beautiful weekend as the fall colors start appearing. Pumpkin spice is in the air! We hope it's been a wonderful weekend for all of you however you have spent it. EJMS Jaguar Weekly Sept. 5 - 9

Hello and happy end to your Labor Day Weekend - 

We hope it was a great one full of swimming and cookouts. We have a packed newsletter for you this week. And speaking of packed, we want all of our EJMS students and families to come pack the gym on Tuesday, Sept. 6 to cheer on our girls basketball as they beat West Middle. Find out about that and so many more upcoming events and opportunities in this week's newsletter. 



EJMS Jaguar Weekly Aug. 29 - Sept. 2

We hope that all of our EJMS families have enjoyed a great weekend soaking up these last days of summer. September is upon us. We hope everyone will come join us on Sept. 1 from 5:30 - 7:30 for EJMS open house - we'll have free supper (thanks to the PTO at the grill) and a fun, casual time to meet your students' teachers and learn more about all of the activities at East. Weather permitting, we will be outdoors so drop in and visit or stay and play. Reminder that this weekend is Labor Day weekend, so no school Monday, Sept. 5. Enjoy the long weekend!

EJMS Jaguar Weekly Aug. 15 - 19

Hello EJMS families  - 

Well, if last week is any indication of what this year will be like, we can already tell you it will be one of our best yet! What a great first three days we've had at East. We saw lots of smiling faces and kind-hearted folks as we welcomed our sixth graders to EJMS and welcomed back the 7th and 8th graders. We hope that your students have had a restful weekend and are geared up for a great week of learning and community at EJMS. Chromebooks will be going out this week, so be sure to check our newsletter for all the info on that. You'll also find review of our pick up and drop off procedures as well as what's happening and upcoming events at EJMS. Here's to a great (first) full week for the school year!
