Substitute Requirements

To be eligible to be a substitute teacher, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Teaching Certification, or

  • Bachelors' Degree in any area, or

  • At least 64 completed college hours and hold a 2.5 or greater GPA

To be eligible to be a substitute instructional assistant, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • 64 completed college hours OR

  • Pass the Paraeducator test
