Attention TPS students and families! Looking for an exciting way to spend a week this summer? The Nicholasville Police Department is hosting its Youth Academy from June 22 to June 26, 2026!
This program is free for Jessamine County students entering grades 8th-12th for the 26-27 school year. Participants will dive into a variety of hands-on topics, including:
Small engine and vehicle maintenance
Firearm skills at the NPD Range using Nerf Firearms
Survival concepts
Fishing at Lake Mingo and earning your Boater Certification
The academy runs daily from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Ready to sign up? See your SRO today for an application, and be sure to get those in BEFORE May!

For Kindness Week this year, we are celebrating with a week of challenges and fun developed by our very own Sources of Strength club! Our students thought up these unique encouragements and developed this awesome graphic (shoutout Antonio!) so we can celebrate Kindness next week! Monday is to spread positivity and wear mismatched shoes, so be ready!

Happy FRYSC Appreciation Week! We are incredibly lucky to have Erica Pinney as our Family Resource and Youth Service Center Coordinator here at TPS.
Ms. Pinney works tirelessly to meet our families exactly where they are, providing essential services and creative solutions to fill any gaps. JCS will be in session on Tuesday, February 10th on a 2-hour delay. Morning preschool will not attend. This delay will allow for increased daylight/visibility for drivers and students. We wanted to share this news as early as possible so you can begin making necessary arrangements for your morning schedule.
