West Middle Families: please take a moment to complete the SpeakUp survey. This year, our survey contains questions about Social, Emotional, Technology, and Edtech. The district uses this data to help us better understand the student perspective and how to better meet the needs of our students and families. The survey closes March 1.

Ms. Henderson’s class celebrated Friendsgiving with Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Grove’s classes from East Middle. They enjoyed food, relays, crafts and friendship. This holiday season, they are thankful for friends in and around the Jessamine County Schools district!

Greater Community of West Jessamine Middle: Join the circle of giving and consider extending anonymous hope to a West Jessamine Middle School student. Join the WJMS Youth Service Center Giving Tree this holiday season. Members of the WJMS Giving Tree agree to be informed about Operation Holiday Hope as well as other opportunities to meet just-in-time needs for WJMS students. There is no obligation to make a donation, only to be aware of what our students need in order to thrive. Join our WJMS GIVING TREE Text group here: https://www.remind.com/join/wjmsgiving

Five West Jessamine Middle School Colts gathered with East Jessamine Middle School leaders for table host training during the week of November 13 at the Jessamine County Public Library. Our student leaders gained insights into protective factors and strengths that they can subsequently share in future Youth Cafes. Their participation and training represent the next essential step in connecting other WJMS Colts with positive peers during times of need.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming WJMS Youth Cafes scheduled for January 19 (with a snow date of 21), March 15 (with a snow date of 22), and a final event on May 11th. For additional information about this pilot program, feel free to reach out to Sara Shouse at the Jessamine County Health Department via email at sara.shouse@jessaminehealth.org.
