Explore, create, and thrive!
West Jessamine Middle School offers a diverse range of electives to enrich students' experiences. Our dedicated Arts and Electives Teachers will be hosting school-wide cohorts in addition to their content of their daily courses to further engage students in their subjects, making learning both exciting and interactive.
Over the next few days we will be sharing the rest of our elective teams and celebrating the impact their content has on WJMS students!

Attention West Jessamine Middle School Families!
Starting this week, we will have a convenient cart set up at the entrance for students to drop off their absence and bus notes.
What Counts as an Excused Absences?
A parent note may be submitted to excuse six (6) full days of absences per school year
A doctor's note may be provided to excuse up to 12 full days of absences per school year. Upon the 12th doctor’s note, parents will receive a district referral to Jessamine County Schoolʼs nurse to implement board policy
A student may miss up to six (6) days without a doctor or legal note. This includes parent notes and unexcused absences. Once the six (6) day limit has been reached, all future absences without a doctor or legal note will remain unexcused.
