Summer break shouldn’t mean a break from healthy meals; we’re here to help bridge the gap while school is out!![]()
Getting healthy meals this summer just got a whole lot easier for our rural families. Thanks to the USDA and the amazing JCS Child Nutrition Team, Jessamine County Schools is offering a 7-day "Curbside" meal pickup service to ensure every child has access to nutritious food while school is out!
The Details
Starting June 4 through August 13 (11 weeks total!), you can pick up a full week’s worth of breakfast and lunch every Thursday.
Pick-up Locations & Times:
East Jessamine Middle School: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
OR
East Jessamine High School: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
How It Works
Sign Up: Fill out the household form once for the entire summer! It’s not required, but it helps our team prepare.
Get Your Tag: You’ll receive a "SuN Meals" car tag during your first pickup.
Drive & Go: Keep that tag visible in your window each week for a quick and easy pickup process.

Important Notes
Eligibility: This service is for children in rural areas without access to "congregate" meal sites.
One per Child: To ensure we reach everyone, children already receiving SuN Meals through JCS at summer camps (like NES or Parks & Rec) are not eligible for curbside pickup.
Limit: SuN Meals provides 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day, per child.
