The 25-26 Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) results are in, and we are so proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students, teachers, staff, and families across Jessamine County Schools!

Here are a few big highlights to celebrate:

  • Above State Average Score at EVERY level (Elementary, Middle, and High School)

  • Exceeded State Averages in Graduation Rate (98%) and Post-Secondary Readiness (100)

  • 1 Blue School & 2 Green Schools leading the way - shoutout to Wilmore Elementary, West Jessamine Middle, and West Jessamine High

  • Zero Red or Orange Schools across our entire district

  • Growth Within Special Populations, including improved Special Education trends and strong progress for English Language Learners

Our Path to Progress:

While we are celebrating these wins, we also recognize that we still have work to do. We remain committed to closing performance gaps, reducing novice scores across all content areas, and implementing high-quality curriculum resources to ensure every student continues to grow!

Check out the infographic below for a closer look at our district’s achievements and our continued path to progress as we work to motivate and challenge every child, every day.

Understanding the Scoring System

Kentucky schools are rated based on both Status (how students performed this year) and Change (how much scores changed compared to last year). When a school experiences a large jump in performance one year, moving the needle the following year can be difficult due to the Change component. Maintaining the previous year’s performance or improving slightly can lead to a lower Change score, which can shift a school's overall color designation (e.g., from Green to Yellow).
