There’s something truly special happening at East Jessamine, and our recent state accountability results reflect the hard work and heart of our entire school community. Our students have pushed themselves to grow. Our teachers have poured in countless hours of instruction, support, and encouragement. Our families continue to stand beside us, cheering their students on. Our food service team keeps us nourished, our custodial staff keeps our school safe and welcoming, and our secretaries keep everything running with care and consistency each day. Every person who touches this building plays a part in our success. We are thrilled to celebrate Madeline, one of our incredible Students of the Month! Madeline is a shining example of a JCS Critical Thinker. In the classroom, she doesn't just look for the easy answer—she digs deeper, consistently applying her skills to tackle complex problems. Her commitment to exploring and understanding new concepts, especially in math, demonstrates the kind of rigorous inquiry we strive for in our students. Keep challenging yourself, Madeline!

What families do at home to support students is vital to their success. That’s why we are proud to celebrate the statewide Family Engagement Week November 17-21!

We are proud to recognize Easton as one of our Students of the Month, who continues to shine through an outstanding commitment to work ethic, a key pillar of the JCS Graduate Profile. This student consistently shows up ready to learn, pushes himself to do his best, and approaches every task with determination and focus. Whether he’s tackling class assignments, participating in discussions, or supporting his peers, he brings a level of effort and responsibility that sets a strong example for others. We’re grateful to have students like him who demonstrate what it means to be a Jaguar.
