Congratulations to Caleb Travis (Class of 2024)! He performed at Gibson Garage on Friday with one of the best guitarists in Nashville, Marty Schwartz! Congrats, Caleb!

Our Choir Invitational was a blast!! The HS students had so much fun singing with our middle school friends! Thank you to our boosters for their support with this event! We couldn’t have done it without you! 💚💙

Dinner plans tonight!

Check out all the opportunities to support our Jags this week!

A new month is here, and we’re hoping it brings plenty of sunshine and fresh energy! March is a big one at EJHS, with juniors gearing up for the ACT, sophomores diving into Mastery Prep, and freshmen taking on iReady. CTE pathway students will also be tackling their EOP exams, and before we know it, scheduling for next year will be in full swing. There’s a lot ahead, but we know our Jaguars are ready to take on every challenge. Let’s make it a great month!

They made it to Day 2!! Miles and Logan will be competing tomorrow for the next round of the KHSAA Wrestling State Tournament! Congrats on a great day of wrestling! Doors open at 9am at the KY Horse Park, Altec Arena. Let's show our Jaguars some support! Let's Go Jags!

Today, our incredible students went above and beyond, visiting schools to collect much-needed supplies for the flood victims in Pikeville. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported this effort! Every item collected will make a difference for those in need. Let’s keep the generosity going and continue to stand with Pikeville.

Jaxon, Connor, and Luke took the lead in ENG 210 (Literary Studies), turning the discussion on the end of The Odyssey into an intense (but fun!) game of trashketball! Their comprehension and discussion questions kept everyone engaged, while the girls in the class showed incredible teamwork—helping each other out so that everyone felt like a winner. Moments like these remind us why learning is more than just reading. It's about collaboration, leadership, and making connections.

Great attendance today, Jags. We've made it a full week!

Good Luck to Miles, Logan, Colton and Tyler as they compete in the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament today & tomorrow at the Kentucky Horse Park in the Altec Arena.
Doors to the public open at 8:30 AM.
The KHSAA uses GoFan for ticket sales.
Go Jags!

Some of our counseling team had a great night supporting our choir at bingo!

In our Fashion & Interior Design class, students have created their own small boutiques, developing business plans and bringing their ideas to life. After earning approval from their investor, Mrs. Barnhart, they received funding to purchase materials and are now crafting 15 sample items to sell. The boutique that earns the most will be named "Small Business of the Year" by the Chamber of Commerce! We can’t wait to see all the amazing boutiques next week! Lakin is already off to a great start! What we love about this project is how it captures all aspects of our graduate profile (communication, critical thinking, work ethic, connected citizens, and responsibility)!
Stay tuned to see which boutique comes out on top!

Good Luck to Miles, Logan, Colton and Tyler as they compete in the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament tomorrow and Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in the Altec Arena.
Doors to the public open at 8:30 AM.

Our students have been hard at work creating stunning silhouette compositions that bring stories to life! Using elements of contrast and space, they designed powerful visual narratives—some inspired by their own experiences and others drawn from well-known tales. Each piece captures emotion, movement, and depth, proving that sometimes, the simplest shapes can tell the most compelling stories.
We’re so proud of their creativity and artistic expression!

Lunchtime!

We are grateful each and every day for our custodians who take care of our spaces and keep our building safe!

Just a reminder! If you would like to donate items, please bring them by before or on Friday!

Ms. Layton and Mrs. Jones’s Prob/Stat students are learning all about opportunities available to them after graduation. Today they’re learning about the National Army Guard with Sgt. Skillern!
