Today, we take a moment to recognize the incredible bus drivers who safely transport our students to and from school each day. Every morning, before the sun rises, they are there. Every afternoon, long after the final bell, they are still there. Through rain, snow, and early mornings, they show up with patience, kindness, and a commitment to safely carrying our students where they need to go. But their job is so much more than just driving. They are the first friendly face our students see each day, offering a warm greeting and a reassuring presence. They learn names, share smiles, and create a sense of security for every child who steps onto their bus. They care, they listen, and they make a difference—one ride at a time. To our amazing bus drivers: Thank you for your dedication, your compassion, and the countless miles you travel to ensure our students get to school and back home safely. You are truly appreciated, today and every day.

This isn’t everyone who helped tonight, but it’s a great start. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at RJ Corman who contributed to the preparation, supported us throughout the event, and stayed afterwards to help wrap things up. A big thank you to the teachers and administrators who chaperoned tonight as well! It was amazing to bring the East and West sides together for such an important cause, Kerrington’s Heart. Normally, we’re in the same space competing, but tonight was all about unity. Thank you to everyone who made tonight a success!

Jaguars - With the continued NTI days, we are going to pivot on Sadie Hawkins ticket sales. The dance is STILL ON!! We will sell tickets AT SCHOOL from 11:00 - 1:00 in the front lobby. You must have your 2024-2025 school ID when you come to purchase the ticket as well as $10 cash. You cannot send someone else to purchase a ticket for you. We will stop selling tickets at 1:00 unless there is still a line and we will sell until that line dissolves. We have a limited number of tickets, so once we meet that allotment, we will not sell anymore tickets. Should there be any tickets remaining after the 11:00 - 1:00 selling window, we will sell the remaining tickets at the door with the same expectations (2024-2025 school ID and $10 cash) until we reach the maximum number of tickets. Due to the crazy nature of this ticket selling and dance, any student who was previously told they could not purchase a ticket due to attendance or behavior is now allowed to purchase a ticket since others will also be afforded that ability. We are excited for a great dance! Doors open at 8:00 and the dance concludes at 11:00.

We are Kentuckians and the recent flooding has devastated many in our state, including Pikeville. Coach Lawson and Mrs. Lawson are Pikeville natives, and have felt a deep calling to help the people of their hometown. We are joining their call to support one another during such a difficult time. In Jessamine County, we believe in being Connected Citizens by understanding the needs of others, giving back, and making a meaningful impact. This is more than just a collection. It’s about community, about showing compassion, and about using our resources to support those in need. We are collecting donations to support those affected, and we invite our entire Jessamine family to join us in this effort. Let’s fill a bus and share our love and kindness.
