Our young artists are hard at work in art class! We're so impressed with their creativity and focus!

It was an honor for Mrs. Heister's & Mrs. White's 4th Grade classes to host a visit from a UK professor who is blind. She taught us about living with blindness and how our eyes work. The students loved creating an edible model of the eye, making the lesson both educational and delicious! It was a truly insightful and inspiring experience.

What a beautiful day for some outdoor fun! Our first graders soaked up the sunshine and fresh air at recess recently. From the swings to the slides and everything in between, it's clear they loved every minute of it. Nothing beats seeing their happy faces as they play and make memories together.

Let's give a huge round of applause to our incredible PTO President! She is the definition of a "behind-the-scenes" hero, always working tirelessly to make our school a better place. You can always count on her to have a smile on her face, no matter the task. We're so lucky to have her leading the way! Thank you for everything you do!

Dancing with partners takes communication and cooperation! Students have been practicing these skills during music with Mr. Schatko.

Our first graders are becoming number pros! They became math detectives, practicing their number identification skills up to 100 with some super fun math mystery pages. Every correct number helped them unlock a piece of the puzzle. They were so focused and determined to solve the mystery. It's awesome to see them excited about learning!

Our 3rd graders are becoming detectives of the text! They're practicing a crucial skill: citing text evidence. It's amazing to watch them use their critical thinking to find proof in the story to back up their answers. Keep up the great work, detectives!

Our music class is in full swing! Students are grooving and showing off their creativity by inventing movements to match the rhythm and feel of a song. It's wonderful to see their imaginations come to life through dance and music!

A first-grade superstar in the making! This student showed incredible work ethic during reading rotations, completely focused on his book bin while using flexible seating. It's so inspiring to see his dedication to reading! Keep up the great work!

Mrs. Fitch's 2nd grade class kicked off the Second Steps program, our character education curriculum. We were so impressed as they reflected on the skills they're great at and shared how they worked hard to become good at them. It's a fantastic start to learning more about ourselves and each other!

These students have been working as an ensemble in music class. Don't forget that every grade has a performance this year!

Happy "Dress the Teacher" Day! Mrs. Witt's students worked hard to earn this reward by receiving 25 compliments in the hallway. They put their creativity to the test, choosing from a variety of wacky options to create this unforgettable outfit for Mrs. Witt. The best part? It all happened to fall on her birthday! What a fun way to celebrate great behavior and another trip around the sun!

Who doesn't love to be "the boss?!" Miss Ferree's students have worked on their rounding skills by deciding which numeral is "the boss" when rounding to the nearest hundred!

The future is in their hands—and on their keyboards! Our amazing 4th graders are busy in STEM class, sharpening their typing skills. All of our students have access to Typing Club and can practice at school and at home.

Check out these smiles! Some of our students had a roarin' good time in class recently! Our little paleontologists got their hands dirty making their very own fossils. This hands-on activity was a fantastic way to develop their fine motor skills and learn all about dinosaurs and the amazing world of fossils. What a fun way to bring science to life!

As part of our new curriculum, Mrs. Boggs' 1st graders drew pictures and then practiced retelling a fable. We love seeing our youngest students work on their communication skills!


Our 3rd graders are diving deep into classic tales! They're not just reading captivating stories, but also working hard to identify important themes. Their dedication and work ethic in exploring these timeless lessons are truly inspiring!

Did you know that our classes create class mission statements? Check out Mrs. Maggard's class mission! Her class has been discussing being a family as Mrs. Maggard's Sea Creatures and even voted to name their octopus, Octomus Prime!

Learning from each other! Our 5th graders were hard at work during math stations, and we were so impressed with their leadership. A few students took on the role of "student teachers," demonstrating amazing responsibility and communication skills as they helped their classmates master different concepts. It's wonderful to see them collaborate and support one another!
