Our Warner Wildcats had an absolute blast in PE today with Ms. Best! They were all smiles and energy playing "Oodles of Noodles," a fun-filled game that had them running, dodging, and working together. The excitement was contagious, and it was so great to see them all moving and laughing while also building important skills like teamwork and agility. 💪🏃

Our 4th graders are learning about animal structures and their functions this week! Students learned how some animals are able to survive in extreme cold by testing how protective fur, feathers, and blubber are against cold temperatures!

💛 COINS FOR CANCER 💛
We will be collecting coins September 2nd-26th to benefit Cincinnati Children's Hospital for pediatric cancer research. Our goal is to raise $3,000 this year in order to bring our total raised over four years to $15,000. 🎉
The class at each grade level that raises the most money will receive a donut party! 🍩
AND, on September 26th, we ask everyone to WEAR GOLD to show your support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Let’s do this, Warner community! 💛

We will be hosting a Girls on the Run Team this fall! Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd. Spots are limited, so register quickly at: https://www.gotrcentralky.org/
Girls stay after school two days a week (Mondays and Thursdays) until 4:15 p.m. and experience a lesson, train for a 5K race, and get to know the other girls on the team. The GOTR session begins Monday, September 22nd and extends through Saturday, December 6th. Girls must attend after-school sessions on Mondays and Thursdays AND the GOTR regional 5K race at Keeneland on Saturday, December 6th. More information can be found in Mrs. Coy's Wildcat Chat.

Congratulations to Fred Luchtenburg, the 2024-25 Warner Teacher of the Year AND the Jessamine County District Teacher of the Year! This summer Mr. Lu was surprised by Mrs. Coy, Mrs. Crum, and Mrs. Campbell with the great honor of being named the Jessamine County Teacher of the Year. Mr. Lu is known for his creativity and rapport with students. He provides special opportunities to let each of his students shine. They're always there for us—from their annual school supply drive and donations to clearing teachers' wish lists. 💙Our Warner staff enjoyed a fun day together at our New York City-themed staff retreat! We are equipped with an Empire State of Mind, setting high expectations for our students and motivating them to achieve at high levels. A huge shout-out goes to our local coffee shops for hosting our staff - Monos Coffee Crafters, Unify Coffee Co, Mercantile Coffee and Feed, Drinklings Coffee House and Luna's Butterfly Cafe! Also, thank you to Southland Christian Church for treating our staff to a taco bar lunch. It's going to be a great year! #welovewarner
