A huge thank you to our amazing neighbor and local business, Amcor, for generously providing frisbees for all of our students to enjoy during lunch on Field Day! To show our appreciation, a team of students and food service staff delivered handmade thank-you cards and a beautiful student-created mosaic to the Amcor team. Special shoutout to our incredible cafeteria manager, Ms. Ruth, for sparking this wonderful connection with Amcor. Partnerships like these make our community stronger!

🎉We are excited to announce that Pam Neal is Warner's 2024-25 Classified Employee of the Year! As an instructional assistant and our After-School Program Lead, Pam is kind-hearted, gentle, patient, and willing to help wherever she is needed. She is highly invested in the students and staff at Warner, and we are so grateful for her!
💙We had a wonderful time celebrating our 5th grade students during our 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony! As they prepare for the exciting journey to middle school, we’re reminded of three words that define this group: leadership, friendship, and fun. We will miss them dearly, but we know they’re ready to shine in the years to come. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!
Mrs. Classen's 4th grade students took the lead during their conferences with family members and district staff, proudly sharing their i-Ready growth, assessment data, and reflections on their learning. They also identified their “glows” (strengths) and “grows” (goals), showcasing ownership of their progress and plans for continued growth. We're so proud of their leadership and voice!
Best.Day.Ever! Our annual Field Day brought out the smiles, sunshine, and serious fun with our students, staff, and families! From the 100-yard dash to jump roping, fire brigade relays, and the always epic tug of war — it was a day to remember. Huge shoutout to Ms. Best for coordinating such an organized and exciting day, and to our amazing PTO for bringing the extra fun with special snacks and treats at the Field Day Shop. We’re already counting down to next year!
💙💚What a special time it was cheering on the EJHS graduating class today! It touches our hearts to see our former Warner Wildcats all grown up and ready to achieve their dreams. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!
Our fifth graders made the most of the beautiful weather! Recently, their geometry lesson went outside as students explored hierarchies of 2D figures. From quadrilaterals to triangles, they sorted, classified, and collaborated — all under the sun. Learning really is better with a breeze and a little blue sky!
At Warner, we believe every student should have more than one trusted adult at school who they can rely on. That’s why all of our students are connected with another adult in the building in addition to their classroom teacher--someone who knows them, supports them, and cheers them on. Our Wildcat Buddy groups meet once a month, bringing students together from across grades to build lasting relationships, foster a sense of jcommunity, and, of course, have fun!
Warner's library is so much more than a place to read and check out books! Thanks to Ms. Parker, it's become a vibrant space where students can build, explore, create, and play!
🌟Each year, Jessamine County art and music teachers select one student who demonstrates excellence and commitment in each area. Landon Eckler and Whitley Melton were chosen as this year's Art Star Award recipients at Warner by Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Crockett. Congratulations to these two superstars in the arts!
🩷💚Our PTO has truly outdone themselves for Teacher Appreciation Week! We were treated to an incredible Wicked-themed spread each day—nacho bar, breakfast goodies, sweet and salty snacks, a pasta and potato bar, and pizza! To top it all off, numerous door prizes made the week even more fun. A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing PTO and all of our families and local businesses for their generous donations to make this week so special. We definitely feel appreciated and loved!
👑Mrs. Phillips' class recently enjoyed a special visit with Rachel Smith, the reigning Mrs. Southern States and mom of one of our students! Because Rachel's platform is the importance of helping children learn to read, she brought a special story to share with Mrs. Phillips' class. Good luck to Rachel as she competes in the National Amerifest Pageant later this year!
🍭Our Warner Wildcats are ready to CANDY CRUSH the KSA test!
Our hallways have transformed into a real-life Candy Land, bursting with sweet decorations and excitement. Today, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders paraded through the school as our 1st and 2nd graders cheered them on with encouragement and school spirit.
To top it all off, each student got a special cotton candy treat, thanks to our incredible PTO and parent volunteers. Let’s go, Wildcats — we've got this!
🌹Our second graders enjoyed some Kentucky Derby fun during their own Run for the Roses on Friday. Exquisite Derby attire, determined jockeys, and fans excitedly cheering them on - they experienced it all!
Thank you to Justin's Place, a local horse farm in Wilmore, for hosting our students who participate in the Stable Moments program for a day of fun on the farm! Our kiddos had a blast and look forward to returning someday. We appreciate you investing in our students!
🌳Our 2nd graders had a special Earth Day celebration this week with a visit from local arborist Kent Slusher!
Kent talked with students about the importance of caring for our planet and even donated a beautiful new oak tree for our primary playground—replacing the beloved old oak that had to be removed last year. Students rolled up their sleeves and helped plant the new tree, which we look forward to watching grow for years to come. A huge thank you to Kent Slusher for his generous gift and for inspiring our young learners with his time and knowledge!
🌸Over 200 women joined us for Muffins in the Morning this week! It was a wonderful way to honor and celebrate the incredible women who play such an important role in the lives of our students. Thank you to everyone who made these mornings so special!
Four of our terrific Warner Wildcats represented Warner well at our district's Superintendent Student Forum! A few times this year, these students gathered together with students from across the district to share their feedback and ideas about a variety of school-related topics with Superintendent Crum. During their final meeting this week, our students talked with the JCS Food Service Team in order to give feedback about the food options at breakfast and lunch. They even got to taste-test some potential new menu items!
Students in our STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) and Girls Who Code clubs enjoyed a fun day at Rupp Arena for the STLP State Championship! Our students experienced a variety of student-led technology and digital art projects that included coding, robotics, and media production. It was a great day to celebrate student innovation and creativity! Many thanks to Ms. Parker and Ms. Antoniou for providing our students with opportunities to explore technology and leadership through these clubs!
