Bass fishing is a JCS sport open to WJMS students 6-8 grade.

Today we would like to offer a huge thanks to the custodial staff of WJMS! We were able to celebrate them with a special lunch for the hard work they have done this summer to get our school ready to welcome back students, our classrooms and hallways look amazing!
For our Incoming 6th Grade Students:
WJMS will host our Middle School 101 event for incoming 6th grade students on August 7 from 9-12. Doors will open to students at 8:45 and we will begin our day in the cafeteria.
Students will get to meet their teachers, get a copy of their schedule, and have an opportunity to practice their lockers (there is no need to bring school supplies on this day).
Drop off and pick up will occur through the main entrance in the front car line.
We hope to see all of our 24-25 6th Grade Colts at MS 101!
WJMS Cheer will be holding a second round of tryouts on August 16th!
Tryouts are open to WJMS 6-8th graders, as well as 5th graders at NES, RDES, and Wilmore.
Students must have an up to date KHSAA sports physical in order to participate.
Come out to Zaxby's tonight between 5-8PM and support the WJMS Girls Basketball Team!
Congratulations to West Middle students Colton Burdine and Carson Speake, who represented Jessamine County in the The Bass Federation Junior World Championship this week in South Carolina!

Coach plans on scheduling several open gyms between now and the start of boys basketball season. Stay posted for more information on those dates and tryout information.

WIll your student be playing a sport at WJMS this year?
Make sure you have added them to the sport’s roster in Final Forms. This will allow for information to be sent out prior to tryouts, and to log sports physicals and required signatures required for tryouts/participating in athletics.

WJMS Golf Tryouts will take place on July 16th and 18th! Tryouts are open to both our boys and girls golfers. Golfers must have an up to date KHSAA sports physical to participate.

Please join us for an interest meeting NEXT MONDAY, May 13th, at 6:00pm in the WJHS band room. Enter on the west side of the school through the band room door on the cafeteria loading dock.
This meeting is open to ANY interested student and family of rising 7th-12th graders! Please don’t worry about childcare; siblings are welcome to attend!
