
This week is Kindness Week at WJMS so please encourage your student to participate in our themed days. We will also be having activities each day at school that focus on extending kindness to everyone. Thank you to Sources of Strength for organizing a great week!


WJMS National Jr Honor Society will be selling Valentine Grams Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during lunches. They will have Valentines snack cakes and/or friendship bead bracelets for sale. Each item is $2 and will go toward their donation to the University of Kentucky DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic.


Good luck to the WJMS students who will be competing in the High School Swimming Regional Competition tomorrow!

Each year, Jessamine County Schools recognize one teacher from each school as the Teacher of the Year. Each school’s TOY will then complete a classroom observation and an interview to be considered for the Jessamine County Teacher of the Year in the categories of elementary, middle, and high. The district TOYs are recognized at our district opening day and go on to represent our county in the statewide Teacher of the Year process. Nominations will be open from January 16 - 26.

West Jessamine Middle School will be holding Baseball tryouts on Saturday, January 20th at Champions Sports located at 2061 Lexington Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356 Pitchers and Catcher with at LEAST 2 years of pitching or catching experience will report at 6:15 pm All others players will report at 7:15 pm Tryouts will end at 10:00pm Students must have an up-to-date sports physical in order to participate in tryouts.

Ms. Henderson’s class celebrated Friendsgiving with Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Grove’s classes from East Middle. They enjoyed food, relays, crafts and friendship. This holiday season, they are thankful for friends in and around the Jessamine County Schools district!
