🌟 Student leaders making a difference!
Last Friday, Jessamine County students joined hundreds of their peers at the Sources of Strength Peer Leader Summit, ready to build skills for promoting hope, help, and strength in their schools.

But our students took it a step further. They weren't just participants; they were presenters in a session about community events, sharing details about the districtwide Community Color Run—an incredible event they created to foster connection, wellness, and fun.

We are so proud of these student leaders for sharing their success, inspiring others, and showing what it means to build a positive school community where everyone belongs. 💛

There’s something special about seeing our youngest learners look up—literally and figuratively—to the role models in our high schools.

When student-athletes take time to visit elementary schools, they’re doing more than sharing high-fives and smiles—they’re showing what hard work, teamwork, and good character look like in action. 💙❤️

These moments build connections across our district and remind every student that they’re part of something bigger. A huge thank you to our connected citizens on the EJHS football and WJHS softball and baseball teams for their leadership!

Exploring the world beyond the classroom helps learning come alive!

From discovering Kentucky’s history at Fort Harrod, to learning about native species at Salato Wildlife Center, to experiencing our state’s signature industry at the Kentucky Horse Park — our students are making memories and deepening their understanding in hands-on, meaningful ways.

Field trips spark curiosity, connect lessons to real life, and inspire lifelong learners. 💙

Please join us in congratulating EJHS senior Hok Thai for being named a Chambers Scholar by the Summer Science Program !

Out of 588 participants from across the country, Hok is one of only 17 students selected for this prestigious award. The Chambers Scholar Award honors participants who demonstrate exceptional dedication, achievement, and potential in the sciences.

This incredible recognition includes a $1,000 award for Hok and a donation made in his name to help future students attend the program. The award honors the legacy of Dr. Robert J. Chambers, a renowned Professor of Astronomy who inspired countless young scientists.

We are immensely proud of Hok's hard work and this outstanding accomplishment. He represents the very best of our district!

Cheer on your team and cast a line of warmth into our community! 🎣❄️

The JCS Bass Fishing Team is on a mission to fill a boat to the brim with winter coats for those in need right here in Jessamine County. As the weather gets colder, your donation of a new or gently used coat can make a world of difference

We couldn't be prouder of our Bass Fishing Team for organizing this drive. Seeing our students step up as compassionate, connected citizens to support their neighbors is truly inspiring.

We love seeing our older students mentoring and inspiring their younger peers! 💙 JCTC marketing students recently teamed up with Warner Elementary 5th graders to design creative advertisements for their Entrepreneur Fair projects. This collaboration gave high schoolers the chance to share their skills and guidance—while younger students got to learn from and connect with an older peer. A win-win for everyone!

We’re thrilled to share that East Jessamine High has been selected to participate in The Kentucky Performing Arts Bradley Awards—think of it as the “minor league” of Broadway!

This incredible opportunity will help EJHS students grow as performers, fuel their passion for the arts, and push their creativity to new heights. Trained theatre professionals will attend EJHS's shows, score performances, and provide feedback to help students work toward their goals in theatre excellence.

We’re so proud of our Jaguar Theatre family and can’t wait to see them shine! 🌟

Our students and staff continue to make a powerful impact! Warner Elementary's Coins for Cancer project raised $2,583.57 this year for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to support pediatric cancer research. 💛

Over the past five years, Warner students and families have donated more than $14,000 in honor of former students who bravely battled cancer — a beautiful example of compassion in action.

A heartfelt thank-you to Mrs. Meeker for leading this meaningful project each year and to every student and family who contributed to making a difference! ❤️#WeAreJessamine #KindnessInAction
