🎨 Art with a Heart 🎨

The WJHS Art Club recently took on a challenge to create a "meaningful story" through their work. Their muse? The one and only Mr. Daugherty.

Mr. D’s influence as a teacher and mentor radiates through our entire community. This beautiful tribute captures the gratitude we all feel for his years of dedication to our students.

Well done, Colts! We are so proud of your talent and the meaningful way you chose to honor a local legend. ✨

🎤Our EJMS Jags had a powerful lesson hosting speaker, artist, and activist Devine Carama!

While his visit aligned with Black History Month, the wisdom he shared is a timeless blueprint for life. Devine didn’t just give a speech; he gave our students the tools to build their futures.

🐾Key takeaways for our Jags:

✨Personal Power: Owning your story and your strength.

✨True Patience: Investing energy where it truly counts.

✨The Growth Mindset: Moving toward goals with kindness and a relentless work ethic.

Thank you for pouring into our students and helping define the next generation of leaders at EJMS! ⚡️

Built to Last, Designed to Shine! 🏫✨

The Jessamine County Board of Education recently recognized the talented students who designed our district banner for this year’s Kentucky School Boards Association Conference.

With the theme “Built to Last,” these student creators highlighted iconic landmarks of Jessamine County, showing how a strong future is built on the powerful partnership between education and community. Their design reflects both a love for learning and a deep pride in where we come from.

We’re incredibly proud that this beautiful representation of Jessamine County was on display for education leaders from across the Commonwealth. It’s a reminder that while we continue to grow, our roots truly are built to last.

👏 Join us in thanking these students for representing our district and our community so well!

Double the trouble? Not this time. More like double the heart. 👯✨

On Twinning Day for Kindness Week, our students and staff showed that while our outfits might be a match, the best thing we have in common is how we treat one another.

In a world where you can be anything, it’s twice as nice to be kind.

There’s something special in the air this Kindness week! ❤️ Our students are showing us exactly what it means to lead with heart.

Whether they're taking to the airwaves, delivering Kindness Grams, "putting a lid" 🧢on bullying, or simply brightening someone's day with a high-five and a fist bump, the energy has been incredible.

We're so proud of the culture our students are building, one small act at a time. 🤝 Keep rocking it, everyone! ✨

Our Rising Educators had a special guest today! EJHS SRO Horton chatted with these future teachers to share legal insight and perspective on the impact of mentorship, safety, and community in our schools. 👮‍♂️

We love seeing our SROs and students connect over a shared passion for our schools! 💙
While their uniforms look different, their goals are exactly the same: protecting, guiding, and investing in the next generation.🤝
