Our 4th and 5th grade Student Council members had the opportunity to read a holiday book to our 1st and 2nd graders this week! 🎄📚

What a wonderful way to spread joy, build leadership, and create connections across grade levels. We love seeing our students lead with kindness and community spirit!

We are so proud of Brookside’s Top 10 I-Ready winners! They put in a lot of work since the start of school to complete the most MyPath lessons in the whole school!

These students have truly shown their strength in communication and are making a positive impact every day through their words, actions, and leadership. We are so proud of the way they represent our Graduate Profile qualities and inspire those around them. Way to go!

Our 5th graders have been busy this week! Yesterday, they performed for the entire school, and today they showcased their creativity and skills at our E-Fair! The E-Fair gives students the opportunity to build their own businesses and invite others to shop their products—what an incredible learning experience! We are so proud of our 5th graders for their hard work, confidence, and creativity.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We’re thrilled to announce that a selection of our students’ artwork has been chosen for display at the Nicholasville Courthouse from November 26th through January 2nd! This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to enjoy and celebrate the creativity and talent of our Brookside artists. Congratulations to all of our student artists! We are so proud of the hard work and imagination they put into their pieces. If you have a moment, we encourage you to stop by the courthouse to view the display in person. Families are welcome to take photos next to the artwork—feel free to share them with us, too!

We are thrilled to celebrate the results from our 2025 state assessments, as our school achieved Green/High ratings across most content areas! We could not be more proud of our amazing students, dedicated staff, and the unwavering support from our families. Our 3rd graders took on a fun guidance challenge this week: naming something they’re grateful for from A–Z! From *Animals* to *Ziplines*, their answers were thoughtful, creative, and full of heart. It’s amazing to see gratitude grow in our students—one letter at a time!

This cold and rainy Wednesday got a whole lot warmer thanks to Dr. Rebecca Wheeler, Pediatric Dentist, for providing free coffee for our Brookside staff and families! ☕💛 We appreciate your kindness and support more than you know. Thank you so much!

We are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Jackson, who has been awarded the Jessamine County Education Foundation Pat Nielsen Continuing Education Scholarship! She will receive $3,000 to support her continued education. We are so proud of you, Mrs. Jackson!

To learn, students need to know they are loved and supported. Brookside staff member and parent of a Mustang shared the following about their family traditions! “Fitness is a daily tradition, so we run, hike, and workout together multiple times a week — and we even do a Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving as a family!” 🏃‍♀️🥾🦃💪 What’s a tradition your family enjoys together? Today our 3rd–5th grade students had an exciting opportunity to participate in a career event hosted by JCTC and our high school students! They spent the day exploring different career pathways, asking great questions, and learning from older students who were eager to share their knowledge and experiences. Thank you to JCTC and the high school team for inspiring our future leaders!
