October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to remind ourselves that kindness, inclusion, and respect matter every day. We all have a part to play in creating a school where everyone feels safe, supported, and like they belong. Wednesday, October 21, is Unity Day! Wear orange to show your support for bullying prevention and stand together for a world where every student feels seen, valued, and included. Let’s stand together, look out for one another, and make kindness part of who we are.

Project Graduation is an overnight lock-in open to all graduating seniors from EJHS, WJHS, and TPS that provides a fun-filled graduation celebration in a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment. Our goal is to make this a free event for all graduates, with lots of food, activities and prizes. This is completely funded by donations from the community. That’s why we are asking for parent volunteers now to help with planning this event and fundraising for this year’s seniors, the class of 2027! Families of freshmen, sophomores and juniors are encouraged as well, not just our senior parents. Please consider joining the Project Grad Planning Committee at 5:30pm in the WJHS library on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Thanks for your support!

Accountability data shows we are moving in the right direction, but test scores only capture a small snapshot of what makes East so special. While we are proud of the real progress our Jaguars showed in academics, readiness, and school safety, the true heart of East High lives in everything our students do every day—in the classroom, in the arts, in athletics, in leadership, and in how we support one another as a school family. We know our work is never finished, but every single day we keep building, growing, and striving for excellence. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making East High so much more than a test score! 💙

Elijah is a wonderful example of our Work Ethic Graduate Profile attribute in action! Over the past month, he has consistently stepped up in class—always eager to participate, share thoughtful ideas, and lend a helping hand to his classmates during group work. His willingness to jump in whenever needed and support his peers makes a huge impact on our school family every single day! Elijah, we are so glad you are here and setting such a positive example!

Kayla is a wonderful example of our Connected Citizenship Graduate Profile attribute in action! Not only is she dedicated to her own learning, but she actively ensures those around her have a voice, too. Whether collaborating on group projects, patiently encouraging her peers, or making sure everyone has a chance to share during class discussions, Kayla leads with respect and empathy every day.

We are so lucky to have Ms. Roller in our building helping our students everyday!

A great day for Jaguar Golf! Our girls brought home a 5th place out of 12 teams at the Region Championship, while our boys finished 7th out of 24 and picked up a win over West along the way! We also have three golfers moving on to state! Great finishes for both teams! We’re proud of you, Jags!
