Mrs. Crockett and some of our students joined together with other students and music teachers from Jessamine County for the Jessamine All County Choir event yesterday. They spent the day learning songs with a guest director and performed for families yesterday evening. We are lucky to be a part of a district that supports the arts!

🎂We celebrated Hattie C. Warner's birthday today! Our food service team gave our students a special birthday treat during lunch and decorated the serving lines in honor of Hattie C's birthday. They even had special shirts made to celebrate!

Our 5th graders experienced a fantastic trip to Mammoth Cave today as a culmination of their study of Black History in Kentucky! They read the book, Journey to the Bottomless Pit, a story about Stephen Bishop who was one of the first people to explore and map Mammoth Cave. Today, they explored the cave themselves. Thank you to Mrs. Kennedy and our other staff members for providing our students with such a meaningful learning experience!

🪐The mobile planetarium experience was a hit for all of our students today! We learned a lot about our galaxy, the sun, the moon, the planets, and space exploration. It was out of this world!

❤️Our students wrote valentines to their hearts today in STEM class to show appreciation for these very important organs in our bodies! They learned about how our hearts pump blood and what our hearts really look like. They even practiced taking their pulses before and after jogging in place. It was a real world learning experience for everyone!

🚗Our 5th graders thoroughly enjoyed a fascinating tour of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant in Georgetown! They observed the car-making process from start to finish in the factory and learned about Toyota's core values that guide their business. The Toyota staff commented that we have an amazing group of students with wonderful behavior and thoughtful questions!

🏆WOW! Our Warner Academic Team finished as runner-up in the District Governor's Cup competition today! We had several students earn medals for their content area tests with a few students earning 1st place. Also, our quick recall team finished in 2nd place. Many thanks to Mrs. Woodard and Ms. Allen for serving as coaches and providing this great opportunity for our kids. On to the regional competition!

Mrs. Metzenberg's class recently performed reader's theater plays for their classmates. The students read their parts from a script, and they used props to act out the stories in small groups. What a fun way to practice their reading skills!
