Our Warner family continues to make a difference in our community! During our food drive partnership with the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce, we collected over 1,400 food items that will be donated to the Jessamine County Food Pantry. Congratulations to Ms. Simpson's class for bringing in the most items - 316! Also, many thanks to our Student Leadership Team for coordinating the food drive at Warner, gathering the items from the classrooms and counting all of the items. We're also grateful for a few Warner Champions who helped with the gathering and counting of the items, too. What a great way to come together and make an impact!

🎄Our annual holiday sing-along tradition was a hit! Students and staff had a blast playing holiday-themed games, singing festive holiday songs, and celebrating the season together. It was the perfect way to spread holiday cheer!

Our STEM class has been full of holiday cheer as our 5th grade students built balloon-powered rockets to test speed and distance for Santa’s sleigh. They also discussed potential and kinetic energy. What a fun way to explore STEM concepts!

What a wonderful night celebrating our talented students in the 4th grade's winter musical showcase! Based on the book A Mountain of Mittens by Lynn Plourde, our students brought the story to life through acting, singing, dancing, and playing instruments. A huge thank you to Mrs. Crockett for her creativity and hard work in making this performance possible!

Friday was an exciting day for our 3rd-5th graders! JCTC career pathway student ambassadors hosted an engaging career pathway fair, giving our students the chance to explore future careers and high school pathway options. We're so grateful for our partnership with JCTC and the incredible opportunities they bring to our Warner community!

🎉Our Girls on the Run team rocked their 5K race at Keeneland today! This amazing program helps girls build self-esteem, confidence, friendships, and fitness. Many thanks to our dedicated Warner staff members, who served as coaches and running buddies, for their time, support, and encouragement every step of the way. We are so proud of our girls for their hard work and perseverance!

Our students celebrated a popular Thanksgiving tradition by designing "balloons" and parading them around the school during their version of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Our annual Turkey Trot was full of fun, friends, and fitness! Our students and staff enjoyed time together walking and playing turkey-themed games. Thanks to Ms. Best for treating us to some holiday fun!

Mrs. Blandford, Ms. Beale, and Mrs. Coy enjoyed their time with some special students who purchased Lunch with a Counselor or Lunch with a Principal using their i-Ready Bucks they earned for passing i-Ready lessons!

Our 5th grade Entrepreneur Fair was a fantastic experience for our students! It provided a hands-on opportunity to learn about our economy and key business concepts such as marketing, profit, and supply and demand. Students created business plans to sell goods and services which helped them understand how businesses operate in the real world. It was a fun and engaging way for them to apply what they learned in class while developing valuable skills. Many thanks to Ms. Anders and the 5th Grade Team for providing our students with this incredible opportunity!

Our WondORFFul Wildcat musical group performed an engaging Orff-style music program this evening! Orff Schulwerk is a music approach that emphasizes music-making through instruments, movement, singing, and drama, allowing students to combine rhythm, melody, and expression. We are grateful that Mrs. Crockett has provided this opportunity to showcase our very talented students!

A big thank you to the Jessamine County Public Library for hosting our first graders for an unforgettable tour, storytime, and loads of fun! The kids had a fantastic time exploring the library and learning the magic of reading. We appreciated their warm hospitality and dedication to fostering a love for books in our young learners!

💙The Warner community makes a difference in our world! Cincinnati Children's Hospital sent us a supersized check commemorating our Coins for Cancer donation for pediatric cancer research and a meaningful note from a CCH staff member. The check is now hanging in our front hallway alongside three other checks from our previous donations.

Our halls are decked out with these beautiful mini mosaics that our students designed and created on their own during art class!

Our students enjoyed meeting Amber Sawyer, the author of the book, Love to Race! Ms. Sawyer read her story about her beloved racehorse to our students and shared about caring for horses and about her experience writing books.

Mrs. Han's second grade class recently enjoyed reading a variety of fairy tales and performed a readers theater to share the stories with their classmates and families!

🇺🇸It was our pleasure to welcome Veterans to lunch at Warner today! We are grateful for those in our community who are currently serving or have served in the military. Thank you for protecting our country and our freedom!

🇺🇸Our Wildcat Buddy groups made thank you cards for the veterans in our community to show our appreciation for their service. Some of these cards are lining our halls for those who will be attending our Veterans Day Lunch, and some will be delivered to the veterans at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.

Mrs. Simon's class explored the concept of energy as they collaborated with partners to create imaginary amusement park rides with classroom tools!

🎃Our PE teacher, Ms. Best, is spreading the spirit of fall and fitness throughout Warner by giving classes a "pumpkin punch" and challenging them to a fall fitness challenge. Mrs. Ashley's and Ms. Barnhardt's classes were two classes who were recently "pumpkin-punched"! Once classes complete their pumpkin workout, they get to "pumpkin-punch" another class.
