Empowering Student Voices 🙌
When students have a say in their education, they feel more engaged, confident, and invested in their learning journey. Superintendent Crum's first Student Forum was a fantastic opportunity for student representatives from elementary, middle and high schools to share valuable insights on their school experiences, celebrate what’s working, and offer ideas for improvement.
Thank you to these incredible leaders for their honesty, feedback, and vision to help shape a learning environment that truly reflects the dreams and needs of all students. Here’s to building a brighter future together! 🌟 #StudentVoice #StudentLeadership

Did you know? Jessamine County Schools offers a Diesel Tech program that provides hands-on, real-world experience, preparing students for rewarding careers right after high school! These courses build critical skills and open doors to industries that need these students' talents. JCS supports all paths to success!. #PassionPurpose #JCSFutureReady #CareerSuccess

Teamwork in action! When students collaborate to tackle a challenging lesson, they learn a lot from sharing ideas, problem-solving, and finding solutions as a team. We're proud of the way these future leaders are building important critical thinking and communication skills!

So proud of WJHS’s Kennedy Bender who was selected as a student panelist for the 2024 Speak Up Congressional Briefing! She joined other students nationwide to discuss tech in learning and how educators can best support students' needs. Thanks for representing us, Kennedy!

Middle schoolers never cease to amaze us, and at WJMS, they've done it again—this time by asking for more opportunities to publicly thank their teachers! Whether it’s inspiring confidence in hands-on science labs, exploring the Colonial Regions with a sense of humor, or providing help with coding and micro-bits, we love that these JCS teachers approach each instructional moment with with intentionality, purpose, and joy!

Happy School Lunch Week! Nutrient-rich foods provide the energy and focus needed for learning. JCS is fortunate to have an incredible food service team that goes the extra mile to ensure that our students have tasty and nutritious options to power their bodies and minds. Thank you to our JCS crew for fueling our learners' success and helping them thrive!

Thank you to our law enforcement partners, first responders, local officials, and JCS students for joining us today for a proclamation signing to kick off Kentucky Safe Schools Week, October 20-26th. This written pledge to do all that we can to keep our schools safe reflects our commitment and efforts as a community - every partnership makes a difference. Together, we create a safe environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive!

Our School Resource Officers go beyond ensuring safety—they walk alongside our students, offering guidance and support. Whether it’s a quick chat in the hallway or walking a student to class, their presence builds trust and connection. We’re grateful for their dedication to making our schools safer, more caring places for everyone. #BuildingConnections #SROsInAction
