Our 3rd-grade Eagles in Miss Ludt's Class at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary School are proving that math can be as sweet as it is smart! 🦅✨ Last week, they traded pencils for Skittles to dive into the world of fractions.
By sorting their candies by color, students created their own "delicious" data sets to identify parts of a whole. Whether it’s 2/10 yellow or 4/10 red, these hands-on moments help our students embrace new challenges and find joy in learning.

Our 2nd-grade Eagles at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary School became "Critical Thinkers" over the past few weeks as they explored the ancient world! 🦅 From digitally designing custom animal habitats in Canva to getting hands-on with Crayola Model Magic to create their own trace fossils, our students are learning that science is all about observation and creativity.
We loved seeing them use magnifying glasses to inspect real fossils, uncovering the stories that history leaves behind. At RDES, we prepare our students to embrace challenges and explore their passions through every hands-on experience!

TOMORROW, RDES is getting a head start on World Down Syndrome Day! Since the official day falls on Saturday, we’re bringing the party to the hallways a day early.
Why the crazy socks? Because the chromosomes that cause Down syndrome look a bit like socks—and we believe that different is beautiful!
When: Friday, March 20th
What: Wear your loudest, brightest, and most mismatched socks!
The Goal: To celebrate inclusion and raise awareness for our amazing friends and students with Down syndrome.
Mrs. Boggs' 1st-grade students celebrated St. Patrick's Day by using Lucky Charms to practice their graphing skills. By meeting our students where they are with engaging, hands-on activities, we help every Eagle fulfill their potential.

Our 1st graders at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary School have been working hard as young scientists! After several days of researching and creating detailed animal habitat dioramas, they stepped into the role of "teacher" today to present their findings to our 2nd-grade classes.

To celebrate this milestone, the class earned a hands-on STEM challenge! Working together as "Connected Citizens," students collaborated to design and build their own catapults. The goal? To see who could send a candy heart flying the farthest! 🚀❤️
