We need your help to keep our students safe during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. 🏫

While we know that these are busy times of day, we have seen a rise in reports of unsafe situations on the streets surrounding our campuses. 🛑

Using side streets or neighborhoods to bypass school lines creates several preventable risks:
🚸Traffic Hazards: Students may walk in unsafe areas without crossing guards.
🚸Congestion: Unofficial staging on side streets can block emergency vehicles and create dangerous blind spots.
🚸Property Issues: Vehicles have been reported blocking private driveways and neighborhood entrances.

How you can help:
🚗Use Official School Lanes: These routes are efficient and are the only areas where we can provide supervised traffic control.
🚗Be a Good Neighbor: Please respect the property of those living near our schools.
🚗Choose Safety Over Speed: A few minutes saved is never worth the risk of an accident.

Let’s work together to ensure every student travels safely from their front door to ours!
Thank you for choosing to put our students first. 💙

Today is Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day, and we’re recognizing the experts who keep our district safe, comfortable, and running smoothly.

Behind every successful school day is a maintenance team making it possible! 🛠️🏫
🔧 Fixing that "mystery" leak before it becomes a flood.
❄️ Tuning the HVAC so our classrooms stay comfy.
🛡️ Ensuring every building is safe, functional, and ready for learning.

Their best work is often invisible because they fix problems before they ever disrupt a lesson. We see you, we appreciate you, and we couldn't do this without you!

Help us celebrate this incredible crew! Drop a shout-out in the comments below! 👇✨

Who knew Language Arts could look like this? 🤩

At JCS, we’ve turned literacy into an all-out adventure! Through our Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum, our elementary students aren’t just decoding words—they’re becoming explorers.

By bridging the gap between reading, writing, and real-world science and history, our teachers are doing more than teaching kids how to read... they're inspiring them to love to learn. 📚✨

Check out these Wilmore Elementary students! Their faces say it all as they wrap up an exciting unit on animals and their habitats. 🐾🌍

Come for the opportunity. Stay for the friendships. 🤍

We love seeing the community being built within our hallways every single day. It’s more than just lessons; it’s the teammate who has your back in the final minutes of a game🏀, the study partner who finally makes a tough concept click💡, and the mentor who sees potential you didn't know you had.✨

Long after the homework is turned in, it’s this sense of belonging and these lifelong friendships that we carry with us. This is the heart of our district family.🤝

🎨 Art with a Heart 🎨

The WJHS Art Club recently took on a challenge to create a "meaningful story" through their work. Their muse? The one and only Mr. Daugherty.

Mr. D’s influence as a teacher and mentor radiates through our entire community. This beautiful tribute captures the gratitude we all feel for his years of dedication to our students.

Well done, Colts! We are so proud of your talent and the meaningful way you chose to honor a local legend. ✨
