Pass Go! 🎩🎲

During their library rotation, our 5th grade Eagles are diving into history—Monopoly style!

Students kicked off a fun new unit learning all about the fascinating origins and history of the classic board game Monopoly. Next, our creative learners teamed up to build their very own customized game boards! To put their critical thinking skills to work, each team had to select a unique theme—from ranking top movie sales to sorting the net worth of fashion brands and top sports teams.

Once their boards are complete, it will be time for the ultimate test: playing a fast-paced game of Speed-opoly! ⏱️💵 We love seeing our students embrace collaboration, practice strategic ranking, and have a blast while learning.

Great job, Eagles! Keep soaring to success! 🦅✨

Ms. Carlstedt’s class is already putting our Jessamine County Schools Graduate Profile into practice by focusing on Communication!

Our students are learning that being a successful communicator means sharing their stories and listening effectively to one another. Check out these amazing classroom moments:
🏅 One student proudly shared her triathlon medal!
🎨 Another showcased her creative "All About Me" Stanley cup!
🥤 And another shared a unique Stanley cup design he created himself!

Squeezing Out Wisdom in Third Grade! 🦅

Our third graders in Miss Ludt's class recently read the book "Taste Your Words" and put its powerful message into action!

Students participated in the hands-on toothpaste challenge, where they squeezed all the toothpaste out of a tube—and then tried their best to put it back in. They quickly realized that once it’s out, it’s impossible to put back!

Through this memorable activity, our Eagles learned a valuable lesson: it is important to think before we speak because we can't take our words back. We love seeing our students grow into thoughtful, caring communicators who lead with kindness every day!

Way to go, third graders! Keep soaring high!
